Nomads are pleased to announce that Steve Green will be coaching Nomads for the 2010/2011 season.
As many of you know, Steve started his korfball career as a Nomads junior and progressed into our National League side and to the England/Great Britain National team.
Steve then spent several seasons away from Nomads where he played at the highest level with some of the other top teams in English korfball.
He has also achieved success in coaching, both in the National League and with the England Under 16 team where he is the current coach.
After returning home to play for Nomads at the beginning of the 2009/2010 season Steve aggravated an old knee injury and was sadly forced to retire from playing on medical grounds. His talents were not lost to us though as his input on tactics and general playing skills was welcomed by this season’s coaching staff.
With Nomads winning a place in European competition for the coming season, Steve’s international experience will be an additional asset to the squads existing talents.
Everyone in the club is looking forward the success that Steve’s coaching talents will bring to this season’s successful squad.
